AI Usage Policy
Last updated: June 2026
We are committed to full transparency about how artificial intelligence is used in our editorial operations.
What We Use AI For
- Research assistance: AI tools may be used to surface research materials, which journalists then independently verify.
- SEO optimization: We may use AI suggestions for metadata and headline variations, subject to editorial review.
- Image generation: AI-generated images, when used, are clearly labeled as such.
- Transcription: Interview recordings may be transcribed using AI, with human review before publication.
What We Do Not Allow
- Publishing AI-generated article text as original journalism without full disclosure
- Using AI to fabricate or hallucinate quotes, data, or sources
- Replacing fact-checking with AI verification
- Using AI to produce reviews without human hands-on testing
Disclosure
Articles that include significant AI-assisted content will carry a clear disclosure label. Any AI-generated images are labeled "AI-generated image" in the caption.
Human Accountability
Every piece of content published under a PrimusSource byline has a named human author who is responsible for its accuracy. AI tools do not receive bylines.
